Future Shop has been making national headlines recently with a sudden announcement that all of their stores will be closing.  Up to 500 full-time and 1,000 part-time employees are out of the job.

However, this may not be the end for former Future Shop employees.

Future Shop (or actually Best Buy Canada), is not bankrupt.  They have re branded, and have gotten rid of the old Future Shop moniker.  This means those laid off employees may still have the ability to file a severance claim against their former employer – possibly for up to a month’s wages per year of service.

Have you been laid off in the wave of the recent closings?  If so, please call us today, or send us a quick email. We will be happy to listen to your story and help you pursue your legal entitlement.
